There are over 30 types of documents issued by procurers...
Quite a few indeed, here are the most common and their meaning:
- Tender Notice or Contract Notice: depending on the publication. An advert for an opportunity which is available to bid for now. An Announcement that the procurer is looking to buy something and opening the competition with this notice.
- Contract Award: announcement usually presenting the name and value of the chosen bidder, the winner of the competition.
- Subthreshold opportunities: usually an open opportunity, available for bidding but which has low value from 5 000 GBP to 100 000
- Prior information notice: an advert announcing that the authority will be looking to buy something in the future. Usually followed by a contract notice.
- Requests for proposals: like a contract notice but usually from the private sector or international organisations outside of Europe
- Subcontracting opportunity: a smaller value contract, usually a part of a bigger contract and issued by the private sector
- Corrigendum: a correction to a previous notice which might have had an error, change of date of precisions made by the procurers.
