Keywords are one of the main important aspects of the searches we carry for you.
The keywords can be presented in different formats as well as in different languages. Let me develop this a bit further...
Keywords in different sections
We search for keywords throughout the documents which are in the database. We can specify where we want to find these keywords in the documents so to limit some common words parasiting the results.
For example, a company developing websites, would search for the keyword "website" in the tender notices. If not restricted to specific sections then all documents would be picked up as matching from the databases as pretty much all of them will have a website address for the procurer...
This is a bit of tricky exercise and we can work with you to make the most of the search by keywords and kick out irrelevant opportunities.
Keywords in different languages
We search for keywords in documents in English as well as in the original languages of the opportunities. So if you are really interested in tenders from Spain for example, it could help the search relevancy and enhanced matching if some of the keywords are specified in Spanish. Most languages are acceptable as long as we can type them in...
Keywords search using boolean mode
A big difference from the previous search system is the capacity to search using different boolean nomenclature.
keywords presented with different signs in front or behind them will have different effects on the results matching with your profile.
For example:
- website = we search for the word "website" as is only
- website* = we search for the word "website" as well as any letter or string of letter which could follow that word. in this case probably only "websites" as well.
- "website development" = we search exactly for "website development"
- "website development"@10 = we search for "website" and "development" within a sentence. The two words do not need to be next to each other but can be within a group of 10 words...
Negative keywords
We can also specify keywords you do not want to see in your results.... Some words can carry many different meanings and within a context can either be relevant or not relevant to your activities. By specifying keywords that belong to a different context we can minimise the number of irrelevant opportunities you might see in your results.
Other keyword options
There are many other options which we can work with you on defining for best accuracy of results.
To update the keywords, you can either register a ticket through this platform or send a message to us on support@winningtenders.eu specifying the changes you want to see made.
